Rants and Raves

Yup, I officially missed my flight out of Boston and had to re-schedule until tomorrow. Not my fault, NWA or should I say Delta needs to get their shit together. Ever since the two airlines merged nothing but confusion has ensued.

My E-ticket said NWA. I confirmed and re-confirmed my flight on NWA.com. Therefore I "assumed" I should have to go to the NWA kiosk. I tried to check in but to no avail. I then waited in line, so I could see a person, for 30 minutes. Finally I reach the counter where I was told my flight was actually with Delta, and that I need to go wait in line again at the Delta counter. My flight left in thirty minutes and I just wasted thirty minutes trying to check in at the wrong carrier. I rushed to a nearby Delta agent and told him "My flight leaves in thirty minutes and I need to check in - can you help me?!" He gives me some corporate bullshit about how I'm too late and it's physically impossible to check-in now. I can only check-in atleast 40 minutes before hand. Nevermind the fact that I was standing in line at the NWA counter for 30 minutes. By this point i'm upset, and it does take a lot to push me over the edge. It didn't help that I hadn't eaten breakfast which meant I had little to no energy to express how I felt. I was left with monotone levels and weak hand gestures to explain my situation once I had gone through another line and reached another Delta agent.

Agent: "You missed your flight."
Me: "I know - can you put me on another flight?"
A: "There's nothing else available."
Me: "NOTHING?"
A: "Seems all the flights are full."
Me: "What about tomorrow?"
A: "Nothing available tomorrow either."

It was like I was in a bad comedy movie or something.

She ends up calling the NWA desk where I just was, and sends me back down there to counter 27. After waiting behind this lady who was clearly older than she had hoped to appear, I saw right through her botox injected face, I reached James. Long story short James put me on a flight the next morning, and sent me on my way with $15 in credit towards the airport stores, and $100 or 10,000 miles transport voucher. Not enough considering I lost a day, and a whole lot of sanity.
